Eight Yellow Roses and a promise in friendship,
I got them from you when we very first met.
Seven Blue Roses to add to the mystery,
You gave them to me on our first blind date.
Six Pink Roses for your wordless sympathy,
I received them with a teary smile.
Five Purple Roses and your declaration of love,
You offered them with a blush.
Four Orange Roses given out of desire,
I accepted them with a passionate kiss.
Three White Roses symbolizing purity,
You put them on my wedding gown.
Two Red Roses to complete our love,
A reminder of our very first kiss.
And One Black Rose that you never gave to me,
I lay it by your grave, remembering our rainbow of roses

Well this was a poem I did for my English Classes poetry slam... and well yeah, I didn't get picked as the winner basically because I wasn't making good eye contact and i was stuttering. God was I sick after I read this out! I just can't STAND public speaking but yeah... And YES I know it doesn't rhyme but whatever.
Um i suppose since I own the poem I guess I need a Claimer instead of a DISclaimer eh? hahaha punny... Yeah so I own the poem and yeah don't steal without my permission... well I guess it wouldn't be stealing then would it? Well whatever. |
